  The Meirionnydd Round                                        Snowdonia

This circuit of 72 miles, 24,000 feet and 47 peaks was devised and first completed by Yiannis Tridimis in 1998.  Based in southern Snowdonia, it provides a companion to the more northerly Paddy Buckley Round as it weaves its way round the wild and often formidable terrain of Cadair Idris, Rhinog, Migneint, Arenig, Aran and Dyfi Forest.  Like the PBR it may be commenced at any point and completed in either direction. Similarly, although 24 hours is an obvious target, no time limit is stipulated but it is considered to be a good half hour tougher.  Completions should be registered – see below.
