This route was conceived by Ian Callister of Manx Fellrunners in 1974 but the first continuous traverse was not until Bob Baxter's run in 1975 in a time of 14 hours 55 minutes.  The object is to ascend all 37 of the island's 1000 foot tops starting from Laxey Beach and finishing on the summit of Cronk ny Arrey Laa.  Overall it involves a distance of some 60 miles and an ascent of 11,400 feet.  For a comprehensive history and account of the challenge see the link below  to Rob Woodall's report of 2002.  In over 45 years there have been less than 20 completions while Colin Donnelly's 1982 record of 11-35 still stands.
